6th Yr Parent Teacher Meeting Online

Dear Parent/Guardian of Student Name,

St Joseph’s would like to invite you to an online Parent Teacher Meeting for your 6^th year student on Thursday 20^th October at 4.15pm. We will be using Google meet to host these meetings. Parents/Guardians will be provided with the appropriate Google Meet link for the meeting nearer to the date. The system will be open from Friday 7^th October until Friday 14^th October for preferences to be entered. When the portal is closed it cannot be reopen and therefore no preferences can be added.

St Joseph’s is using the Parent Teacher Meeting Organiser software programme to timetable this meeting. The registration link for parents/guardians can be found on the school website, http://www.stjosephsrush.ie/page/6th-Yr-Parent-Teacher-Meeting-Online/388688/Index.html

Please follow the steps listed below to register your interest and preferences for the meeting.

1. You will need the following VSWare ID to log in, VSWARE ID. This can also be found on your child's VSware account under Personal Info, then School tab. The School Roll Number will be there already.
2. This will bring you to your child’s personal page where his/her teachers and subjects are listed.
3. Once you have logged in, the system will guide you through inputting your preferences for meeting your child’s teachers.
4. Parent/Guardian Preferences Screen - This page allows you to make your choices for meeting in order of preference, e.g. 1, 2, 3 etc. An entry of 0 means that you do not want to meet with that subject teacher.
5. Each meeting with a teacher is limited to 5 minutes maximum, if you need to speak with the teacher for longer, you will have to do so at another time. It is essential that you select your appointments in order of preference. If you enter preference 1 for all of the subjects, the system will randomly choose the order for you so there is no advantage in doing this.
6. At the bottom of the screen you will see two buttons to indicate;

• Will not be attending the meeting
• Will be attending the meeting and want your preferences saved.

1. Once you have selected one of the above choices, the system will return you to the Parent Login screen and a notice to confirm your options will be displayed.

1. Teachers will be reporting on three things.

• Student Engagement
• Students’ Progress
• Areas for improvement

Once the system has completed the timetable for the Parent Teacher Meeting, you will be advised by St Joseph’s and you will be able to log back into your account and view your meeting schedule.

When you log into the Google account for your scheduled meeting, please sign in with your child’s full name so the teacher will know you are available.

Details as to how the meeting must be conducted will be sent to you closer to the meeting itself.
