4 TYs and I Wish STEM Programme in Trinity College
4 of the TY students had an opportunity this week to get involved with I Wish an Irish Award Winning Showcase who pride themselves on giving "Choices, Chances and Changes" to over 22,000 girls. A super opportunity and we can't wait to hear all about it from the TYs on their return to school.
Junk Couture 2020
The buzz, colour and creativity around the corridors on Wednesday was next to none! The TY students were finishing and modelling their completed Junk Couture designs for the 2020 competition. This years entries definately took it to the next level. Congratulations and well done to the students and Ms Barrett for their decorative, dramatic, imaginative and stylish work this year. You all looked out of this world!
Computer Science Programme in Dundalk Institute of Technology
4 of the TY Students were learning all things computer science and technology for the week, something they are particularly interested in. The students seized the Computer Science Programme opportunity offered by Dundalk Institute of Technology with both hands and have been travelling up and down to Dundalk for the week. We look forward to their detailed report on their return to school next week.
1st Year Gaelic Team Victory
The first year Gaelic team won 8:10 to 2:8 against Donabate to win their division. This is a great achievement for the group as they played against a team who currently have players representing Dublin. They are through to the Dublin quarter finals. We wish them all the best in their next match.
CodePlus
Some of the TY girls had a great week on the CodePlus programme in Trinity College. CodePlus is an educational outreach programme that supports girls to explore careers in computer science in partnership with Bridge21 - the power of learning. Another exciting update pending the girls return to class as normal on Monday! We look forward to hearing all about this experience.
