The TY students, their Form Teachers Ms Mackin, Ms Donnelly, Ms Brophy, Ms Quinn, their Year Head Ms McElligott, their TY Co-ordinator Mr Reade gathered in person and virtually, with the Principal Mr Nealon and the Chairperson of the Board of Management Dr James Reilly to receive their Certificates of Resilience. The students were praised for the incredible attitude they displayed this year, not even a global pandemic could stop them. They can be justifiably proud of the key skills and attitudes they have developed. The students accepted the certificates in recognition of their bravery, courage, determination, patience and positive approach to school in spite of the impact of COVID-19. In homage to Charlie Mackesy ‘ They got up and carried on. They are brave and magnificent.'
This wonderful illustration inspired by the work of Charlie Macksey is one of nine painted by four TY students. They lift the hearts of all who walk by them. The girls were thanked with a copy of the book ‘The Boy, the Mole, the fox and the Horse whose life lessons were a pivotal part of TY this year.
Mr Reade presented certificates to students who completed their Gaisce Bronze Award, The LiFT Leading Ireland’s Future Together’ Leadership programme and a ‘College& Career Readiness Cert from the University of Vermont.

TY allows students to avail of opportunities thanks to our links with TCD through Bridge 21's College and Leadership Programmes. Sarah excelled here and was justly rewarded. Mr Nealon proudly presented her with the Bridge 21 Student of the Year Gold medal. She brings honour to herself, her family and the School.
Congratulations to our overall TY 2021 award winners in the areas of Mentoring, Volunteering, Creativity, Kindness & Generosity, Leadership, Positive Attitude, Personal Growth & Development, & Spirit of TY. Your efforts did not go unnoticed by your teachers, your TY Coordinator and your Year Head.
It takes a special student to really shine the brightest and be awarded the TY Student of the Year, this year's recipient Abigail epitomises shining brightly. She did this in absolutely every task she undertook this year. Nobody could fail to be inspired by her kindness and positivity, a worthy winner of this Prestigious award. Be proud Abigail, very proud.
