Career/Education fair for Senior Cycle students
St Josephs guidance department has organised a Career/Education Fair for all the senior cycle students in our school, taking place
on Wednesday 4th December.
We have invited all the principal Universities and colleges along with leading Colleges in Further Education and a number of Apprenticeship opportunities that are all located within our catchment area.
Each year St Joseph's 6th year students choose to attend, apply for and receive offers to progress to these Institutions and companies.
The event this year begins at 6.30pm for 6th year students and parents/guardians after which there is a CAO talk for parents/guardians.
TY and 5th year students, along with their parents/Guardians are invited to attend from 7.30pm until 8.30pm to enable them to start thinking about future possibilities and opportunities.
This list of attendees this year includes Trinity College, UCD, DCU, Maynooth, DKIT, NCI and TU Dublin. Colaiste Dhulaigh, Cathal Brugha FET, Drogheda Institute of Further Education and City of Dublin Further Education College Ballsbridge.
Apprenticeship opportunities include Baldoyle Training Centre, the ESB, SISK Building Contractors, Jones Engineering and FIT Tech Apprenticeships.
This year we also have the Irish Defence Forces, the Irish Navy, the Gardai and the Society of Chartered Surveyors.
