Badminton
Reflecting the nature of a sport which can be enjoyed as much socially as it can competitively the badminton team here at St. Joseph’s are an eclectic bunch. As in previous years the badminton brigade will in the 09/10 season be pitting their wits and wielding their rackets against the very best schools in Dublin. But before the fun and games begin in earnest there is the little issue of Ms. Kiely’s training regime to get through: ‘fail to prepare, prepare to....'
Badminton training takes place this year on Thursday afternoons in St. Maur’s GAA Hall from 4 to 5pm.
Training is open to all students from all year groups.
This year we have entered two boy teams- one U/16 and one U/19.
The U/16 team came second in their group but unfortunately did not qualify for the knockout tournament.
We would like to see more girls get involved next year and hopefully enter some girls’ teams.
